Scholarship announcements shortly

We are now expecting to be able to announce the winners of Experiment EV Scholarships to Germany around July 1. There have been unexpected delays in Germany. Thank you to all who submitted applications. All were of high quality and making up a shortlist wasn’t easy. Good luck to those who have had their applications sent to Germany for consideration. We will let you know individually of the results.

Great news! We are now offering a wider range of scholarships in 2009. They are all based on your need for assistance and on your likely success as an exchange students.

A total of 17 scholarships, in additional to the current German scholarships, will be available in 2009. They range in value from $2000 to $4000 for departures between July 2009 and Apr 2010. We’re expecting them to be very helpful to students whose families find exchange very expensive, especially in the current economic situation.

The assistance we’re offering does not depend on the country you want to go nor on how long you want to go for. They can be for a one year exchange to any country, for semester programmes or for one of our short exchanges to France. You apply for them at your interview which comes at the last stage of your application and you’ll be told soon afterwards if you have been successful. If you have questions, ask Ian ian@nziiu.co.nz

Students planning an exchange to France, either for the six week programme after the end of NCEA or for the longer exchanges in 2010 should start their application process as soon as possible. It can take three months to complete all documentation and be interviewed. We like to have everything in France by early September for the six week exchange.

We are pleased to announce that our fees to Japan have been lowered due to improvements in the exchange rate. To view them, check the Investment link on the Japan page.
